Once again we come to that time when we must select new state officers for the coming year. The past year has been a challenging one for me, both with my personal family life and our chapter. A lot of changes have occurred and a lot more are still to come. We now have over 525 members, in addition to our auxiliary, belonging to our chapter. I do hope that most of you have been in to see the many changes that have taken place to further our goals to assist our fellow veterans, those who are handicapped from previous wars and conflicts as well as those young men and women serving today. We are engaged in making chapter #44 one of the best homes in the state of New Jersey for our service men and women. A place they can come to for whatever it is they may need, be it benefit assistance or just good old-fashioned comradery. Let me say it continues to be my honor and privilege to serve you all and this past year as your chapter commander. I mentioned at the beginning of this letter, you must once again select those amongst you to hold office to represent you for the coming year. Please do not nominate or vote to install someone because of friendship, try to elect those who will get the job done.
